ABOUT NCBL LEAP

The National Conference of Black Lawyers (NCBL) Law Enforcement Accountability Project (LEAP) is a legal education program designed to train a cadre of lawyers to file civil suits in Federal Court on behalf of the victims of police misconduct and to educate the community activists to know their rights, especially during these protests.

Our goal is the training and development of a new cadre of people’s lawyers equipped with the skills provided in the litigation manual will serve as an empowering mechanism for communities struggling against police crimes, because of the awareness that lawyers from within their communities are equipped with the requisite skills to sue police officer’s, their chief of police and municipalities struggling to curb police crimes.

ABOUT THE LEAP CLE VIDEO SERIES

The purpose of this NCBL LEAP CLE video series is to provide litigation tools and skillsets to lawyers, both experienced practitioners who may not know about this specialized area of litigation and young practitioners who are now embarking on the path of the practice of law.
